We regret to inform you that after a short stay in hospital, Gerry Wells died late on the 22nd December 2014.

As usual at this time of year, the Museum is closed to visitors (although manned daily) over the Christmas period.

  1. We are sorry to hear of Gerry Wells passing. We knew him many years ago when we lived in Brixton in the early 1960’s he repaired many a television for us. We had a family run second hand furniture shop in Atlantic Road Brixton for over 40 years and Gerry used to call in and see us every two or three weeks so we were able to to pass on many vintage radios as and when they came into the shop. One of them being an American radio (Philco )which belonged to my late father. The last time we saw him he had just published his book Obsession and he gave us a copy, it makes wonderful reading.

    Rest in peace Gerry
