Last night hundreds of families gathered for the annual Swiss Farm Fireworks.
There was a small fairground there, a bar and hog roast.
On Friday BBC Berkshire gave publicity for the event, and Andrew Peach, the morning presenter, said that he met his wife there in the past!
The Henley Standard pubicised the event, it also saves me typing too much detail!
Saturday, November 1
Olympic rower Will Satch will conduct the countdown at Henley Round Table’s 41st annual fireworks spectacular at Swiss Farm, off Marlow Road.
The event will include fairground rides, a beer tent, hog roast, mulled wine and a raffle.
Gates open at 5.30pm, the bonfire will be lit at 6.30pm and the fireworks display will begin at 7.15pm.
Entry for adults is £5 in advance (£6 on the gate) while for senior citizens and children aged five to 16 it’s £3 in advance or £4 on the gate. Under-fives accompanied by an adult enter free.
Advance tickets go on sale tomorrow (Saturday) at Romans estate agents in Hart Street and Asquiths teddy bear shop in New Street.
First of all the bonfire was lit, the local removal company sponsored this and provided all of the wood.
There were announcements saying that fireworks started in 10 minutes. Behind the crowd, coming from the Fawley Meadows direction was the end of another firework display. Maybe Phyllis Court?
This is part of the display we saw on Saturday evening
This is the final set of a very professional firework display, organised by the Round Table. Also on a dry evening!
If you missed it this year, be sure to attend next year!
