This time I am featuring two videos of pictures taken on my recent walks – quality limited due to my camera on my mobile (not bad though!)
First one of a walk at Ruislip Lido. It was very muddy in many places due to the snow melting and recent rain. It would have been better if Hillingdon Council had swept the paths so we did not have to clean thick mud off shoes and clothes. All the same a great trip out. Hillingdon as you can see are mutilating hundreds of trees to create a car park……………
Next for a walk round the grave yard (with old headstones) then behind Batchworth Lock, Rickmansworth. A bridge over the canal, similar to those in Holland and Belgium. A fantastic weir, best viewed close up!
Another walk in Rickmansworth, this time round Stockers Lake. The pictures are not that hot, due to them being taken on my Nokia Phone, the unusual bird in the water near the end is a Golden Crested Grebe
Here is a better picture of a Gold crested Grebe
Finally a lovely selection of old books and goodies taken in a variety of local charity shops
