Not at all fair – lets hope the Coalition Goverment give free prescriptions to everyone

I was about to launch into an attack on the Scottish and Welsh Governments for giving their citizens free prescriptions.

I have read that in Scotland the prescription charge is being reduced gradually, and in 2011 they will give everyone free prescriptions.  Time for this decision to be reversed!

The Welsh got free Prescriptions in 2007.  A blooming sauce!

The English have to pay for their prescriptions, or in my case pay for a prescription pre-pay certificate.  This is grossly unfair, and the Citizens Advice Bureau also highlighted this in 2007.

I do not dislike the Scottish or Welsh but feel that the Coalition Government need to ensure we all get free prescriptions or we all pay.  The Scottish National Party had the cheek to ask London for a cut out of money we in London have forcibly paid for the Olympics – I trust they have been told to get on their bike!

I take heart medication and could not afford to pay full price for my tablets, thankfully there is a pre-prescription payment scheme which means I pay around £10 a month towards costs.
