Wireless Waffle
I am based in the United Kingdom, and an avid radio enthusiast. I also have an interest in digital photography and also post pictures on this blog and Pictures of England and Photo Stock UK. I am in my late 50s and now find blogs less stressful than websites, and I thank WordPress for providing me with a free platform for my ideas and thoughts.
I have run the wireless waffle on-line since 1999, it has occupied several web addresses, some which still exist. It is true to say that until I started off my blog with Google, it concentrated purely on the subject of radio. I realised that it did not fully reflect my interests in Radio, Photography, Humour and Life. I then extended my coverage to more subjects, and found that it held a wider audience, and I thank my blog visitors for their on-line interest.
In October 2011 I decided to put a gadget on my Google Blog, called Feedjit. This displayed who had visited the site, but country and town. Google web bots found this and instantly killed my blog and deleted it. I was able to reinstate the blog, but Google told me to be patient and they would re-check to see if I had removed the offending gadget, which they felt could harm somebody’s computer. I was still waiting after 7 days and nothing had happened. To Google’s credit I could back up my blog and download it. I have been able to import the entire Google Blog into this. Otherwise I feel that Google were too heavy-handed with my blog, and it was a form of censorship I feel was unnecessary
So I am pleased to say that I am very pleased to be here on WordPress.
